Cougars Victorious in Close Matchup Against St. Joseph's to Open Up 2020 Season 4-3

ORLANDO, Florida – Mar. 1, 2020 – The Chatham University softball team wins their game opener of 2020 season against St. Joseph's in Orlando, 4-3. 

RECORDS: Chatham now stands at 1-0 while St. Joseph's stands at 4-3.

AT THE PLATE: The Cougars tallied seven hits. Marissa Wightman went 3-for-3 at the plate.

First year Carly Clark, Lauren Haak, junior Kelsey Benjamin and Julie Swedberg each tallied one RBI for the Cougars.

First year Danaya Carbajal 1-for-2 at the plate. 

Swedberg went 1-for-3 at the plate for Chatham.

IN THE CIRCLE: Swedberg secured the victory for the Cougars. She tossed 7.0 innings, scattering 10 hits.
