UTICA, N.Y. – Feb. 14, 2020 – The Chatham University men's hockey team suffers a tough loss to Utica in UCHC play on the road 6-0.
RECORDS: With the loss, Chatham falls to 3-19-0 (2-13-0 UCHC) while Utica improves to 18-2-2 (12-2-1 UCHC).
WHAT'S NEXT: Chatham travels to Rochester, N.Y. as they face Nazareth in a conference matchup Saturday, February 15th. Puck drop is set for 4:00 PM.
SCORING SUMMARY: Utica scored less than two minutes into the first period.
The Pioneers would go on to score two more goals in the first period, leading 3-0 over the Cougars heading into second period play.
Utica scored three goals in the second period, leading 6-0 heading into the final period of regulation.
Both Chatham and Utica were quiet in the third period.
The Pioneers secured the shutout victory against the Cougars 6-0.
GOALTENDING: Ricardo Gonzalez suffered the loss tonight for the Cougars. Gonzalez recorded 20 saves, including 16 in the first period.
