Cougars and Mounties end in a 1-1 double overtime draw

PITTSBURGH, PA - Sept. 24, 2019 - The Chatham University women's soccer team tied Mount Aloysius College tonight 1-1, despite outshooting the Mounties 26-4. 

FOR RECORD'S SAKE
Chatham sits at 3-3-2 overall, heading into conference play Saturday. Comparatively, Mount Aloysius is 4-1-3 overall. In the 2018 season, Mount Aloysius finished 14-3-2 with a 7-1-1 conference record in the AMCC.

THE GIST OF IT
Mount Aloysius scored first in the 16th minute. First-year Greta Mort scored her first collegiate goal at 35:49, assisted by sophomore Morgan Anderson. Both teams were unable to find the back of the net again over regulation and the double over time.

The Cougars outshot the Mounties 26-4, including 15-2 shots on goal. First-year Greta Mort lead the team with six shots. First-year Olivia Wood picked up five shots. Sophomore Morgan Anderson registered four shots. Senior Emily Nolan took three shots on goal.
