Box Score GREENSBURG, Pa. – Sept. 11, 2019 – The Chatham University women's soccer team fell on the road at Pitt Greensburg today 4-2.
THE BACKSTORY
After their fourth game of the 2019 campaign, your Chatham Cougars now have a 2-1-1 overall record. Pitt Greensburg improves to a 4-0 overall record. The Cougars were the first team of the season to score on the Bobcats. The teams have a long history together, currently tied at 4-4 against one another. Chatham had won the last four games over Pitt Greensburg before today.
WHAT HAPPENED
The Bobcats were first on the board with a goal less than 20 minutes into the first half. The Cougars answered back immediately when sophomore
Paxton Steffy found the back of the net, off an assist from junior
Kyla Kelley. The rest of the half remained scoreless. Pitt Greensburg was quick to attack, scoring just two minutes into the second half. The Bobcats continued to dominate with two more goals within 30 seconds of one another in the 63rd minute. First-year goalkeeper
Tyler Colburn made her collegiate debut with just over 20 minutes remaining in regulation. Kelley was back on the prowl, this time with a goal of her own at 67:46.
