Chatham sweeps Geneva in double-header PAC matchup Saturday afternoon

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - April 27th, 2019 – The Chatham University baseball team sweeps Geneva Saturday afternoon in a PAC double-header matchup. The Cougars won the first game by a close score of 6-4 and won the second game 4-1.
 
RECORDS: The Golden Tornadoes fall to 6-24, 1-19 PAC. Chatham improves to 6-26, 3-17 PAC.

WHAT'S NEXT: The Cougars travel to Westminster Saturday, May 4th in a double-header PAC matchup. First game starts at 1:00 p.m.

GAME ONE (Chatham 6, Geneva 4)
  
AT THE PLATE: Senior Paul Nussbaum went 2-for-4 at the plate, scoring one run for the Cougars.

Junior Justin Silvious went 1-for-3 at the plate, scoring two runs and adding one RBI. 

Traynor Granatire added one run and two RBIs for the Cougars. First-year Hunter Swartz went 2-for-4 at the plate, adding three RBIs.

ON THE MOUND: Bryan Crawford secured the win for the Cougars, pitching 3.0 innings, giving up two hits and one run.

GAME TWO (Chatham 4, Geneva 1)

AT THE PLATE: Sophomore Ryan Shawley went 2-for-4 at the plate, scoring two runs for the Cougars. Caleb Lehman added two runs.

Granatire and Swartz both added one RBI.

ON THE MOUND: Austin Andonisio secured the victory for the Cougars, pitching 7.0 innings, giving up three runs and striking out seven.
