GREENVILLE, Pa. – April 16th, 2019 – Chatham University lost a close game to the Thiel Tomcats 19-18. The Cougars move to 3-8 overall, 1-4 PAC, while the Tomcats improve to 8-6 overall, 3-2 PAC.
THE SHORT STORY
The game was a battle for the entire 60 minutes, seeing ten lead changes and nine tied scores. At the end of the first half, Thiel held a 12-11 edge over Chatham. The second half saw seven goals for each side.
KEY COUGARS
Claire Norton led the Cougars with six goals and two assists.
Rachel Borucki finished with five goals, two assists, three ground balls and two draw controls.
Anna Prendergast picked up three goals, one assist, five ground balls and six draw control victories.
Brielle Rapsas scored two goals in the loss.
Kerry Carr won three draw controls, while chipping in two goals and two assists. Jennie Piotrzowski grabbed five ground balls, one assist and two caused turnovers.
