PITTSBURGH, Pa. – FEBRUARY 23rd, 2019 – The Chatham University men's basketball team clawed their way to the PAC Championship Title, defeating the Westminster Titans 64-61. The PAC title is Chatham's first in any team sport since joining the PAC in 2007-08.

Isaiah Brown scored a game-high 22 points in the victory. Brown shot 3-of-4 from beyond the arc. Senior
Anthony Bomar grabbed a game-high nine rebounds, finishing with 16 points, three assists and two steals. Senior
Marc Wells scored three crucial free throws with just four minutes remaining. Wells put up eight points and three rebounds. Senior
Will Sandherr added seven points, three rebounds and two steals.
The number four-seeded Cougars clawed back from a seven point deficit with just 15 minutes remaining in the game. Chatham responded with a 15-4 run to take the lead with 11 minutes left on the clock. An
Isaiah Brown three-pointer at 8:52 would give Chatham a five point lead over Westminster. With just 2:26 remaining, the Cougars had maintained the lead 63-58. A Titan three-pointer would make it a one possession game 63-61 with just under two minutes remaining.
Will Sandherr would sink a free throw giving Chatham a 64-41 lead. Westminster missed the final shot of the game, giving the Cougars their first-ever PAC Championship victory.
Chatham outshot Westminster 45.3% to 42.9%. In the second half, the Cougars shot 48% from the field. Chatham capitalized off of free throws in the final 20 minutes shooting 5-of-6. Both teams tied with 34 rebounds.
