GREENVILLE, Pa. (pacathletics.org)--Third-seeded Westminster College and fourth-seeded Chatham University scored road wins in the semifinal round of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Men's Basketball Championship Tournament Thursday night to secure spots in Saturday's title game.
No. 3 Westminster (13-14) earned a 59-48 win over No. 2 Grove City College (15-11) at the Grove City College Arena in Grove City, Pennsylvania. No. 4 Chatham (18-9) held on for a 54-51 victory over No. 1 seed Saint Vincent College (22-5) at the Robert S. Carey Student Center in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.
No. 3 Chatham will travel to No. 4 Westminster for Saturday's title game. Tipoff at Buzz Ridl Gymnasium is slated for 7:30 p.m.
Admission to all PAC Championship Tournament games is $5 for adults and $2 for students, with students at PAC host institutions admitted for free with valid identification.
The winner of the PAC's Championship Tournament will receive the league's automatic qualifying bid to this year's NCAA Division III Championship. The selected Division III Championship teams as well as the first and second round site selections will be announced Monday, February 25 at 12:30 p.m. (EST) on
ncaa.com. First and second round games are scheduled for Friday-Saturday, March 1-2.
