WESLEYAN, WV -Dec. 8, 2019 - Chatham (9-1) took on their third and final opponent over the weekend taking on Bard College on Saturday, December 7th. The Cougars were coming off a win against Vassar earlier on in the tournament.
The first two matches ended in favor of the Cougars, with first years Abdul Malik and Mohammed Sadek taking both sets 11-3, 11-3, 11-1 and 11-3, 11-7, 11-3 respectively. Chatham would take command of the next three matches to go ahead 5-0 in the match over Bard. Sophomore Vinicius Muniz won his match in four games, losing the second game 11-6 but winning the other three games 11-4, 11-2, and 11-6. First year Cris Tejada would win the deciding match in three games by scores of 11-4, 11-5 and 11-5. The Cougars moved to 2-1 on the weekend after their win over Bard, putting their overall season record at 9-1.
Chatham will be back in action on Saturday, January 11th taking on Western Ontario at Dickinson College.
