Cougars claw their way past Buffalo State Friday afternoon 3-0

Box Score BUFFALO, NY. – Dec. 6th, 2019 – The Chatham University women's hockey team clawed their way past Buffalo State Friday afternoon with a road shutout 3-0.
 
RECORDS: The Cougars improve to 5-4-1 while Buffalo State falls to 1-9-0.
 
WHAT'S NEXT: Chatham faces Buffalo State in Buffalo, NY. Saturday, December 7th. Puck drop is set for 4:00 PM. 
 
SCORING SUMMARY: Chatham scored the first goal of the contest halfway through the first period thanks to Danielle Bos with an assist from Ashley Marchant.

The Cougars scored their second goal in the second period to increase their lead over Buffalo State 2-0, thanks to Fiona Danahy with an assist from Sydney Collins.

Chatham scored a power-play goal eight minutes into the third period, thanks to Kerry Carr assisted by Collins.

Chatham secured the victory and shutout against Buffalo State 3-0.

GOALTENDING: Devon Strachan secured the victory for the Cougars making 30 saves including 11 in the first and 12 in the second period.

SHOTS LEADER: Collins led the Chatham attack with four shots on goal.
 
FACEOFFS: Collins won 14 faceoffs while Maddie Black went 5-4 in the circle.
