PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Nov. 22, 2019 – The Chatham University women's hockey team was defeated by Neumann in a conference matchup Friday night 6-0.
RECORDS: The Cougars fall to 2-3-1 (1-2-1 UCHC) while Neumann improves to 4-2-0 (3-1-0 UCHC).
WHAT'S NEXT: Chatham faces Manhattanville at Pittsburgh Ice Arena Saturday, November 23rd. Puck drop is set for 3:40 p.m.
SCORING SUMMARY: Neumann scored the first goal of the contest and the only goal in the first period.
In the second period, Neumann scored a power-play goal and another goal minutes later now up 3-0.
Neumann scored two goals in the third period, minutes within one another leading the Cougars 5-0.
A penalty shot was awarded to
Holly Ackerman late in the third period but her shot went wide.
Neumann would score an empty net goal after Chatham pulled their goalie, making the final score 6-0.
GOALTENDING: Devon Strachan suffered the loss for the Cougars making 22 saves including 10 in the second period.
SHOTS LEADER: Brooke Almond led the Chatham attack with six shots on net.
Kerry Carr tallied five shots.
