Chatham Runs Past Bison in 2-1 Senior Day Victory

Cougar men's soccer (4-9-3, 1-4-2) went up against Bethany College (3-13, 2-4) in a senior day home matchup Saturday, November 2nd. The Cougars were looking to continue their winning ways, as they were coming off a road victory at Thiel on Tuesday, October 29th.

The first half saw little offensive action early on, as the two opponents battled it out defensively. Chatham would be the first to score, as first year Ryan Tahbaz would net the Cougars first goal of the afternoon. Bethany would respond with a goal of their own by first year midfielder Ramiro Veiga. The score would remain tied 1-1 heading into the break.

Both teams started the second half off quiet, as neither team was able to find the back of the net. Chatham would go ahead after a goal by junior Ren Matsushita in the 73rd minute of the match. The Cougars would hold on to come out victorious by a final score of 2-1, to record their fifth win of the season.
