Women’s Soccer Take One on the Road Against Geneva By a Score of 3-1

Box Score BEAVER FALLS, PA - October 16th, 2019 - The Chatham University women's soccer team faced Geneva College in a PAC matchup. The Cougars defeated the Golden Tornadoes 3-1.

THE RUNDOWN
Women's Soccer (4-4-4, 2-0-2) faced Geneva College (6-5, 1-1) in Beaver Falls on Wednesday October 16th in a conference matchup. The Cougars were looking to add a second win to their conference record following a 1-1 tie against Washington and Jefferson. 

GOALS ON GOALS
The Cougars jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after a goal by Morgan Anderson in the 13th minute of the match. Chatham would add another goal to their score after Olivia Wood's goal in the 31st minute. They would go into the half leading the Golden Tornadoes 2-0. Both teams would score a goal each within the first five minutes of the half, making the score 3-1. Paxton Steffy accounted for the lone goal in the second half for the Cougars. Chatham's powerful offense proved to be too much, as they took down Geneva 3-1.
 
WHAT'S NEXT
The Cougars travel to Grove City on Saturday October 19th at 1 PM, followed by a home matchup at Ellis Field against Westminster October 23rd at 7:30 PM.
