PITTSBURGH, PA - Oct. 15, 2019 - The Cougars (6-13, 2-7 PAC) played host to the Bearcats of St. Vincent (9-15, 4-5 PAC) on Tuesday, October 15th in a late season conference matchup. Chatham entered the match looking to snap their three game losing streak. The first two sets saw a back and forth battle between both teams with Chatham jumping out to an early lead in both sets. The Bearcats fought their way back to regain the lead in both sets and would close out the first and second sets with 25-14 victories respectively. Finding themselves down 2 sets to none, the Cougars never gave up. Throughout the third set the Cougars fought hard, taking the lead 17-16 late in the third. The Bearcats hitting proved to be too much as the Cougars fell 25-20 in the third and final set.
WHAT'S NEXT: The Cougars face Geneva on the road in a conference matchup Thursday, October 17th. Tip off is set for 7:00 p.m.
LEADING THE ATTACK: Sophomore Emily Richie led the team in kills, registering five.
DISTRIBUTION LINE: Senior Brooke Petrillo recorded a team high 12 assists. First-year Shaelah Pepperman added three assists.
BACK ROW PLAY: First-year Rylee Ritko led the team in digs, tallying 16. Petrillo added 15 digs.
AT THE NET: The Cougars forced 13 attacking errors by the Bearcats.
