PITTSBURGH, Pa. – JANUARY 9th, 2019 – The Chatham University men's basketball team defeated Geneva 74-68. With the win, the Cougars improve to 10-5 overall, 4-3 PAC.
Four Cougars scored in double figures in tonight's victory. Senior
Will Sandherr led with 21 points, senior
Anthony Bomar put up 15 points, junior
Buzz Walker finished with 14 points and senior
Alex Schoppen picked up 11 points. Bomar grabbed a team-high nine points, six assists and four steals. Senior
Marc Wells chipped in nine points and six rebounds.
The first half saw three lead changes and three tied scores as the Cougars headed into halftime with a 35-29 advantage over the Golden Tornadoes. Chatham earned 17 second chance points as well as 21 points off of Geneva turnovers. The Cougar defense held the Golden Tornadoes at a 27% three point shooting percentage.
