PITTSBURGH, PA. – Jan. 5, 2019 – The Chatham University women's hockey team defeated Trine 3-2 this afternoon at Pittsburgh Ice Arena.
RECORDS: The Cougars improve to 4-11 while Trine falls to 6-5-1.

SCORING SUMMARY: In the first period, the Cougars scored two goals.
Michelle Jones scored the first goal for the Cougars at 10:19, thanks to assists from
Holly Ackerman and
Dahea Chung. The Cougars would score minutes later thanks to a power-play goal from
Jillian Rowland, unassisted.
The second period, Chatham scored the lone goal, which was a power-play goal. The goal was scored by
Jennie Piotrzkowski, also her first goal as a Cougar
, thanks to assists from
KiraJean Frost and Jones.
In the third period, Trine scored two goals while Chatham was quiet.
GOALTENDING: Devon Strachan secured the victory for the Cougars making 42 saves, including 21 in the third period.
SHOTS LEADER: Rowland led the Chatham attack with nine shots on goal.
FACEOFFS: Sydney Collins won 12 draws in the circle while
Madison Black went 10-10 in the circle.
