Cougars fall to Stevenson in conference play Monday evening

PITTSBURGH, PA – Jan. 21, 2019 – The Cougars suffer a loss against Stevenson in a conference matchup Monday evening 5-1.

RECORDS: With the loss, Chatham falls to 4-11-2 overall, 2-7-1 UCHC while Stevenson improves to 7-10, 4-6 UCHC. 

WHAT'S NEXT: Chatham face Wilkes on Friday, January 25th in a conference matchup. Puck drop is set for 7:10 pm at Frozen Pond Arena.

SCORING SUMMARY: Stevenson had a dominating first period and scored three goals.

The Cougars scored their first and only goal in the second period from Liam Gentile (first goal of season) thanks to assists from Matthew Ho and Mitch Popp.

Stevenson scored two goals in the third period, including an empty-net goal.

GOALTENDING: Matt Calas suffers the loss tonight for the Cougars. Calas recorded 39 saves, including 17 in the first period and 13 in the second period.

SHOTS LEADER: Kirk Underwood led the Cougar attack with four shots. Five Cougars recorded two shots on goal.
 
FACE-OFFS: Cory King won a team best 11 face-offs. Chris Lutz won nine draws in the circle.
