Men’s Hockey Falls 8-0 at No. 8 Utica

Box Score UTICA, N.Y. – Feb. 3, 2018 – The Chatham University men's hockey team fell 8-0 at No. 8 Utica on Saturday night in UCHC play.
 
RECORDS: Chatham falls to 1-16-3 (1-11-0 UCHC) while the nationally-ranked Pioneers improve to 15-4-1 (8-3-0 UCHC)
 
WHAT'S NEXT: The Cougars will head to Nazareth on Super Bowl Sunday, with the puck dropping at 3 pm.
 
SCORING SUMMARY: Following a scoreless first period, Utica scored three goals in the second and five more in the third.
 
GOALTENDING: Senior netminder Morgan Hudson (Ottawa, Ont./Port Colborne) suffered the loss, making 42 saves, including 16 stops in the third.
 
SHOTS LEADER: First-year forward Eric Williams (Henderson, Nev./Ontario Avalanche) led the Cougars with two shots.
 
FACEOFFS: First-year forward Cory King (Albuquerque, N.M./Oklahoma City Blazers) won seven draws.

Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA is a member of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) and offers nine Division III women's sports and seven men's sports. Chatham added two more men's varsity sports beginning play in 2017-2018; hockey and lacrosse, as well as men's squash, starting in 2018-19.
