Brown scores 36 in Chatham's 79-74 loss at Lycoming

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – DECEMBER 18th, 2018 – The Chatham University men's basketball team fell to host Lycoming 79-74 this evening. With the non-conference loss, the Cougars move to 5-4 overall. 

Senior Isaiah Brown put up a game-high 36 points, including shooting 11-of-15 from the field. Brown made 10 free throws and added four assists, three rebounds and two steals. Senior Alex Schoppen picked up 11 points and three rebounds. Senior Will Sandherr added 10 points and five rebounds. Senior Anthony Bomar finished with a team-high nine rebounds and seven assists with three steals and eight points. 

Despite coming back from a 14 point deficit, the Cougars were not quite able to secure the win. Chatham outscored Lycoming 44-37 in the second half. The final 20 minutes saw six lead changes and four tied scores as the teams battled it out. Chatham earned 18 points off of 16 forced Lycoming turnovers. In the second half, offensive rebounding led the 11 points for the Cougars. Chatham put up 21 fast break points.
