PITTSBURGH, PA – Dec. 15, 2018 – The Cougars shut out Trine this evening 5-0.
RECORDS: With the win, Chatham improves to 3-8 overall while Trine falls to 2-8-1 overall.

SCORING SUMMARY: Chatham got off to a strong start scoring two goals in the first period.
Chris Lutz put the Cougars on the board with a goal at 16:38 assisted by
Kirk Underwood and
Matthew Ho. The next Chatham goal in the period was scored by
Clay Plyler at 17:12 thanks to assists from
Derek Schrank and
Michael Lamison.
In the second period, Chatham scored two more goals, making their lead 4-0 over Trine. The first goal of the period happened just minutes into the second period on a power play from Plyler, with assists from Ho and
Cory King. The second goal was scored by Lutz thanks to an assist from
Eric Hildebrand.
In the third period, Chatham had an empty-net, power play goal scored by Hildebrand.
GOALTENDING: Ricardo Gonzalez earned the win tonight for the Cougars. Gonzalez recorded 17 saves in the first period.
SHOTS LEADER: Plyler and Underwood led the Cougar attack with four shots each.
FACE-OFFS: Jason Bauer won a team best seven face-offs in the circle.
