Four Cougars score in double figures in Chatham's win at Waynesburg

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – DECEMBER 1st, 2018 – Chatham takes a 79-61 victory over Waynesburg to improve to 2-0 in conference and 5-3 overall this season. 

Senior Ashley McClain picked up a game-high 28 points, senior Katie Sieg scored 19 points, senior Olivia Barkley added 12 points and graduate student Megan Sieg chipped in 11 points. Senior Sierra Ungerman earned a team-high eight rebounds with three assists. McClain hit seven threes in tonight's victory, shooting 52%. Katie Sieg recorded seven rebounds, five steals and two assists. Barkley registered six rebounds and two assists. First-year Kaitlyn Fertig added seven points and four rebounds. McClain chipped in a team-high six steals and Megan Sieg put up a team-high four assists. 

At the end of the first quarter, Chatham held an impressive 24-8 edge over Waynesburg. Headed into halftime, the Cougars maintained a 48-29 lead. In the first half, Chatham shot 55% from the field and 67% from beyond the arc. The Cougars converted 19 Yellow Jacket turnovers into 27 points.
