MORRISVILLE, NY – Nov. 20, 2018 – The Chatham men's hockey team fell 4-1 on the road to Morrisville State College.
RECORDS: With the non-conference loss, Chatham falls to 1-5-0 overall while Morrisville improves to 2-7-0 overall.
WHAT'S NEXT: Chatham is on the road next weekend first at Nazareth on Friday, followed by Utica on Saturday.
SCORING SUMMARY: Wilkes was first on the board with a goal at the 4:26 mark in the first period.
The Mustangs scored again halfway through the second period.
The Cougars started the third period with a power play opportunity.
Noah Medalsy was able to capitalize off the man up situation, scoring from the blue line to cut the Morrisville lead to 2-1.
The Mustangs would score once more to give themselves a 3-1 edge. Morrisville ended the game with a goal on an empty Chatham net.
GOALTENDING: Brian Baker suffered the loss recording 27 saves, including 12 in the first period.
SHOTS LEADER: Mitchell Popp and
Cory King notched a team-high five shots.
Noah Medalsy finished with four shots on goal.
FACE-OFFS: Chris Lutz went 12-for-7 in the face-off circle.
