PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Nov. 2, 2018 – The Chatham University women's hockey team defeated Lebanon Valley with a score of 2-1 on Friday night in the UCHC home opener.
RECORDS: Chatham moves to 1-2 while Lebanon Valley falls to 1-2.

SCORING SUMMARY: Despite being tied 0-0 in the first period, junior captain
Madison Black (Wexford, Pa./Pittsburgh Elite) scored the contest's first goal.
Minutes later, senior captain
KiraJean Frost (Harvard, Ma./Boston Shamrocks) found the back of the net, with an assist from senior forward
Michelle Jones (Scarborough, Ont./Barrie Sharks) making the score 2-0.
Lebanon Valley scored seconds later, trying to inch into the game. Fortunately, the Cougars held onto the lead and clinched the victory.

Kristina Block (Scarborough, Me./North Yarmouth Academy) led the Chatham attack with eight shots on goal.
GOALTENDING: Junior netminder
Devon Strachan (Philadelphia, Pa./Lawrenceville School) secured the victory for the Cougars making 17 saves, including nine in the third period.
FACEOFFS: Black won 16 draws in the circle.
