PITTSBURGH, Pa. – NOVEMBER 10th, 2018 – Chatham secured a 74-65 win over Pitt Bradford in the 2018-19 season opener this evening. This marks head coach
David Saur's first career win. The Cougars improve to 1-0, while the Panthers falls to 0-1.
Katie Sieg led three Cougars in double figures with a game-high 27 points while
Ashley McClain added 16, and
Megan Sieg scored 12.
Katie Sieg led Chatham with 12 rebounds and eight steals. She also chipped in four assists.
The first ten minutes saw five lead changes and three tied scores but Chatham took control heading into the second quarter up 21-14. Once the Cougars took the lead there was no looking back. Chatham was credited with 18 assists led by seven from
Megan Sieg and four from both
Katie Sieg and
Ashley McClain. The Cougars converted 17 Panther turnovers into 21 points.
