PITTSBURGH, PA. – Oct. 23, 2018 – The Chatham University women's soccer team posted a 7-0 shutout victory over the Tomcats of Thiel. With the win the Cougars improve to 10-5 overall, 4-3 PAC and the Tomcats drop to 2-13-3 overall, 1-6-1 PAC in 2018.

GOOOOOAL
Five different Cougars scored in today's victory. Graduate student Megan Sieg scored the game winning goal just twenty seconds into the game off a pass from junior Tina Lett. Sieg would add another goal assisted by Lett again in the 17th minute. Senior Katie Sieg scored off a pass from Megan Sieg. Sophomore Genevieve Zeswitz connected with senior Julie Bruening for the fourth goal of the game. Junior Morgan Bryant scored with an assist from senior Kassianna Politis. Politis connected with sophomore Darby Robinson for the sixth goal of the game. Robinson found the back of the net once more off a pass from sophomore Kelly Gay. 

BACKLINE STRONG
The backline claimed its sixth shutout of the year and limited the Tomcats to just one shot in the first 45 minutes. 

COUGARS ON THE ATTACK
Chatham outshot Thiel 27-8, including an impressive 21 shots on goal. The Cougars held a 10-1 corner kick edge over the Tomcats.
