RECORDS: The Cougars move to 3-8-2 overall while the Thunder move to 2-8-1 on the year.
WHAT'S NEXT: Chatham will travel to UCHC foe Manhattanville in a weekend series, starting on Friday, Jan. 12 at 7 pm.
SCORING SUMMARY: Chung tacked on her goal just 5:03 into the opening period, thanks to an assist from junior forward
Kristina Block (Scarborough, Maine/North Yarmouth Academy), to give the Cougars the early 1-0 cushion.
In the second period, the Thunder tied the contest up on the power play, just 5:46 into the session.
GOALTENDING: First-year goalkeeper
Taylor Schwandt (West Chester, Pa./Northern Cyclones) earned the start and played the entirety, making 25 stops, including seven in the second period and overtime session.
SHOTS LEADER: First-year forward
Sydney Collins (Wake Forest, N.C./Northwood Prep) led the Cougar attack by firing off six shots.
FACEOFFS: Senior forward
Cassidy Colhoun (Kincardine, Ont./Saugeen-Mailland Lightning) won a game-high 15 draws.
