Kristina Block (Scarborough, Maine/North Yarmouth Academy) scored a second-period goal but the Chatham University women's hockey team fell at Neumann 2-1 in UCHC action on Saturday.
RECORDS: Chatham drops to 3-14-2 (0-12-0 UCHC) while the Knights improve to 11-5-2 (9-2-1 UCHC).
WHAT'S NEXT: The Cougars will return home and host King's at Alpha Ice Complex from Feb. 2-3 in the final home series of the season.
SCORING SUMMARY: After a scoreless first period, Block gave Chatham the lead with just 1:01 left in the second period on an even-strength goal assisted by senior forward
Marissa Janiga (East Aurora, N.Y./Buffalo Stars).
However, the Knights knotted the game at 1-1 just 5:30 into the third period and claimed a 2-1 lead less than a minute later.
GOALTENDING: Senior goaltender
Sydney Isbell (Thunder Bay, Ont./Thunder Bay Queens) registered 31 saves in the defeat.
SHOTS LEADER: Senior forward
Cassidy Colhoun (Kincardine, Ont./Saugeen-Mailland Lightning) led Chatham with six shots on goal.
FACEOFFS: Sophomore forward
Madison Black (Wexford, Pa./Pens Elite) won a game-high 12 draws.
