Box Score PITTSBURGH, PA. – JANUARY 13th, 2018 – A strong start propelled Chatham to a 64-53 victory of Thiel.
KEY COUGARS: Four starters put up double digits in tonight's win.
Katie Sieg led the team with 17 points, 10 steals, six rebounds and three assists. Sieg now holds the Chatham record for most steals in a single game.
Sierra Ungerman tallied 13 points and seven rebounds. Ungerman shot 6-of-9 from the field.
Ashley McClain chipped in 11 points and six rebounds.
Olivia Barkley tabbed 10 points and three rebounds.
Brittani Smith added eight points and six rebounds.
Natalie Knab led the Cougars in assists with four.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: Chatham's quick lead gave them a 24-5 advantage over the Tomcats after the first quarter. Heading into halftime, the Cougars led 39-21. Chatham would maintain their lead through the final 20 minutes. The Cougars converted 22 Thiel turnovers into 20 points.
