Fees Tallies Goal in 2-1 Loss at Bryn Athyn

BRYN ATHYN, PA – Jan. 13, 2018 – First-year forward Kevin Fees (Findlay, Ohio/Wichita Falls) scored the lone goal for Chatham men's hockey as the Cougars fell 2-1 at host Bryn Athyn on Saturday night.
 
RECORDS: Chatham drops to 1-11-3 overall while Bryn Athyn improves to 6-7-1 overall.
 
WHAT'S NEXT: Chatham will return home to host Neumann and Stevenson on Friday-Saturday, Jan. 19-20 at Frozen Pond Arena.
 
SCORING SUMMARY: Fees enjoyed a power-play score in the first period, off an assist from first-year forward Kirk Underwood (Littleton, Colo./Connecticut Nighthawks), the give Chatham the early 1-0 advantage.
 
The Lions knotted the contest up at 1-1 on a power-play goal in the second and tacked on another man-advantage goal in the third to take the 2-1 edge.
 
GOALTENDING: Junior netminder Trever Ralph (Red Bank, N.J./New Jersey Jr. Titans) suffered the loss despite making 17 stops.
 
SHOTS LEADER: First-year forwards Alex Cerda (New Lenox, Ill./Long Beach Sharks) and Michael Thamert (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Valley Jr. Warriors) both registered four shots.
 
FACEOFFS: First-year forward Chris Lutz (Curtice, Ohio/Soo Eagles) won nine draws for Chatham.

Chatham added two more men's varsity sports beginning play in 2017-2018; hockey and lacrosse, as well as men's squash, starting in 2018-19.
