GREENSBURG, Pa. - Sept. 5, 2017 - The Chatham women's volleyball team improved to 4-0 on the season with a 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-15) victory at non-conference foe Pitt Greensburg on Tuesday night.
HISTORIC START: With the win, the Cougars are now 4-0 and are off to the program's best start since a 5-2 beginning to 2004. Chatham began the 2002 season 3-1 and 1999 4-1.
RELIABLE LASHER: Sophomore outside hitter
Justyne Lasher (Ford City, Pa./Armstrong) led the squad with 11 kills.Â
DISHING IT OUT: Sophomore setter
Mckenzie Bates (Lancaster, Ohio/Lancaster) led the Cougars with 15 assists. Junior setter
Emily Brozenick (Pittsburgh, Pa./Carlynton) chipped in seven helpers.
DEFENSE IS KEY: Sophomore libero
Sydney Stevens (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) led Chatham with 10 digs.
NEXT TIME OUT: The Cougars will start PAC action this Saturday, taking on host Westminster and Saint Vincent at 11 am and 1 pm, respectively.
