PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Sept. 30, 2017 – The Chatham University women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (18-25, 24-26, 13-25) match to visiting W&J on Saturday afternoon in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC).
RECORDS: Chatham drops to 7-7, 1-7 PAC while W&J improves to 7-7, 5-4 PAC.
WHAT'S NEXT: The Cougars host PAC foe Thomas More (13-4, 5-0 PAC) tomorrow at 1 pm. The Presidents will host Bethany on Oct. 4.
ALUMNI GAME: Following tomorrow's match with the Saints, the Cougars will hold an Alumni Game at approximately 3 pm.
LEADING THE ATTACK: Sophomore outside hitter
Justyne Lasher (Ford City, Pa./Armstrong) led the squad with 14 kills and recorded a double-double with 13 digs on the defensive end.
DISHING IT OUT: Sophomore setter
Mckenzie Bates (Lancaster, Ohio/Lancaster) drove the offense with 29 assists.
DIGGING IT UP: Following Lasher's 13 digs, sophomore libero
Sydney Stevens (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) tallied 11 digs while first-year defensive specialist
Makenah Zitko (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) and sophomore outside hitter
Belen Brown (Monaca, Pa./Central Valley) both registered nine.
