PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Sept. 13, 2017 - The Chatham University women's volleyball team fell to visiting Geneva 3-1 (16-25, 21-25, 25-18, 18-25) in PAC action on Wednesday night.
RECORDS: Chatham moves to 4-3 (0-3 PAC) and will prepare to host Oberlin and Pitt Greensburg on Friday, starting at 4 pm. The Golden Tornadoes move to 3-8, 2-0 PAC.
LEADING THE ATTACK: Sophomore outside hitter
Justyne Lasher (Ford City, Pa./Armstrong) led the team with 10 kills while chipping in 19 digs.Â
Both junior outside hitter
Maggie Fleiner (McKees Rocks, Pa./Montour) and sophomore outside hitter
Belen Brown (Monaca, Pa./Central Valley)Â enjoyed eight kills each, while Fleiner led the team with a .412 hitting percentage.
DISHING IT OUT:Â Sophomore settersÂ
Mckenzie Bates (Lancaster, Ohio/Lancaster)Â and
Brooke Petrillo (Derry, Pa./Derry Area) orchestrated the offense with 23 and 10 assists, respectively.
ACE OF SPADES:Â Sophomore libero
Sydney Stevens (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) led the Cougars with five service aces and chipped in with 14 digs.
