Chatham Bows Out of PAC Tournament

Box Score LATROBE, Pa. – FEBRUARY 22nd, 2017 – The Cougars would bow out of the PAC Championship Tournament falling to Saint Vincent 70-58. Chatham ended the season with the most wins in program history.

  • Location: Carey Center at Saint Vincent College.
 
Key Players
  • Sophomore Isaiah Brown (Scott, Ark./North Pulaski) led the Cougars in scoring and rebounding with 16 points and six rebounds.
  • Junior Logan Hunter (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield Area) finished with 12 points, four rebounds and two steals.
  • Sophomore Alex Schoppen (Gibsonia, Pa./Pittsburgh Central Catholic) recorded ten points.
  • Sophomore Anthony Bomar (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) tabbed six points, five rebounds and four assists.       
 
Inside the numbers
  • Chatham shot 43% in the second half, including 40% from beyond the arc.
  • The Cougars went 11-13 from the free throw line.

About Chatham Athletics 
Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA is a member of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) and offers nine Division III women's sports and seven men's sports. The athletic program is housed on Chatham's historic and beautiful Shadyside Campus in the $18 million, 74,000 square foot Athletic and Fitness Center (AFC). Women's sports at Chatham include basketball, cross country, ice hockey, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, track & field, and volleyball. Chatham will add women's lacrosse beginning play in 2017-2018. Chatham has added five men's sports competing this academic year: baseball, basketball, cross country, swimming & diving, track & field. Chatham will add two more men's varsity sports beginning play in 2017-2018; ice hockey and lacrosse.
