Cougars Defeat Knights 3-2

Box Score PITTSBURGH, Pa. – FEBRUARY 17^th, 2017 – The Chatham Cougars defeated the Neumann Knights 3-2 this evening.

How it happened

Neumann would be first on the board at 17:13 in the first period with a power play goal.
Kasandra Petersen scored first for the Cougars on an unassisted power play at 10:20 in the second period.
The Knights would start off the third period with a goal at 6:25.
Chatham would answer back with a goal from Marissa Janiga assisted by McKenzie Haskins at 13:34.
Erika Martin would score the game winning goal for the Cougars at 15:14 assisted by Kaitlyn Perrins and McKenzie Haskins.
Chatham outshot Neumann 37-19.
Kasandra Petersen led the team in shots with a total of nine.
Cassidy Calhoun tallied six shots on goal.
Jillian Rowland recorded five shots.
Erika Martin and Marissa Janiga each added four shots for Chatham.
Jenny Jones went 17-of-21 on faceoffs.

In the goal

Sydney Isbell was in the net for the Cougars earning 17 saves.

The Cougars are back in action on February 18^th when they host Neumann once again at 2:30 pm. Tomorrow the Cougars will recognize their four graduating seniors.
