Four Starters Score Double-Digits, Not Able to Overcome Wolverines

Box Score GROVE CITY, Pa. – FEBRUARY 1ST, 2017 – The Chatham Cougars fell to the Grove City Wolverines 75-57.

  • Records: Chatham (10-9 overall, 5-8 PAC) Grove City (10-10 overall, 6-7 PAC)

Key Players
  • Sophomore Ashley McClain (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) led Chatham in scoring with 16 points. McClain added four rebounds, and four assists.
  • Sophomore Katelyn Sieg (Pittsburgh, Pa./Serra Catholic) finished with a double-double scoring 15 points with 11 rebounds. Sieg chipped in four assists.
  • Sophomore Natalie Knab (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) totaled 10 points and three rebounds.
  • Senior Jesse Hinkle (Jefferson Hills, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) tabbed ten points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals.
  • Senior Nikki Ingel (Irwin, Pa./Norwin) recorded five rebounds and three assists.
 
Inside the numbers
  • Four starters scored double digits for the Cougars but it was not enough to overcome the Wolverines.
  • Chatham tied the score three times without ever grabbing the lead.
  • The Cougars scored 12 points of off 14 forced Wolverine turnovers.

Chatham will add women's lacrosse beginning play in 2017-2018. Chatham has added five men's sports competing this academic year: baseball, basketball, cross country, swimming & diving, track & field. Chatham will add two more men's varsity sports beginning play in 2017-2018; ice hockey and lacrosse.
