Box Score PITTSBURGH, PA. – DECEMBER 6th, 2017 – The Chatham Women's Basketball team fell to Pitt Bradford 79-76 in the final minute this evening.
KEY COUGARS: Katie Sieg finished with a season high 21 points. Sieg shot 7-15 from the field with 11 assists, six rebounds and six steals. This is her first double-double of the season. Ashley McClain and Olivia Barkley each tallied 12 points. McClain went 6-6 from the foul line with six rebounds and three assists. Barkley shot 6-9 from the field adding six rebounds. Natalie Knab and Brittani Smith added nine points each. Smith went 5-6 from the free throw line. Maggie Soeder led the team in rebounds with eight, recording seven points and five assists.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: Chatham's largest lead came in the second half when they were up by nine points. By the fourth quarter, the Cougars maintained a four point lead. Chatham ultimately fell in the final minute.
This game was back and forth with 12 lead changes and 13 tied scores. The Cougars shot 52% in the second half. Chatham outrebounded Pitt Bradford 45-39. The bench added 16 points for the team.
WHAT'S NEXT: Chatham is back in action in the St. Pete Classic Tournament in Florida. Their first game is December 20
th against Williams, followed by a matchup with SUNY Oneota on December 21
st.
