Chatham enjoys 98-63 victory over Pitt Bradford

Box Score PITTSBURGH, Pa. – DECEMBER 6th, 2017 – The Chatham men's basketball team won a non-conference game against Pitt Bradford 98-63 this evening.

KEY PLAYERS: Four Cougars scored in double digits to lead the team to victory. Alex Schoppen led Chatham in scoring with 20 points. Schoppen drained six three pointers. Josh Randall shot 4-of-5 from the field, 2-of-3 from beyond the arc and 5-of-5 from the free throw line for a season high 15 points. Randall added two rebounds and three steals. Will Sandherr totaled 13 points, three rebounds and three assists. Isaiah Brown tallied 11 points, three rebounds and three assists. Curtis Perz added seven points, and three rebounds. Anthony Bomar earned a team high ten assists with five rebounds. Devin Stedman recorded five rebounds. Andrew Guanci and Thomas Carpenter earned their first points of the season, each shooting 1-of-1 from beyond the arc.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: Chatham was able to keep control of the game from the start. After taking lead in the first ten minutes, the Cougars would stay on top for the rest of the game. While the Cougars only led by three at the half, they would go on to outscore Pitt Bradford 58-26 in the final twenty minutes. In the second half Chatham shot 64% from the field and 63% from beyond the arc. The Cougars earned 26 points off of 19 forced Pitt Bradford turnovers. The bench added an impressive 54 points. Chatham recorded 26 assists compared to Pitt Bradford's eight.

WHAT'S NEXT: The Cougars are back on the court December 29th when they compete in the Oberlin Tournament in Oberlin, Ohio.

Chatham will add two more men's varsity sports beginning play in 2017-2018; ice hockey and lacrosse.
