Cassidy Colhoun (Kincardine, Ont./Saugeen-Mailland Lightning) tallied the Chatham women's hockey team's lone goal in Friday's 5-1 loss to No. 2 Elmira in UCHC action at Alpha Ice Complex.
RECORDS: With the loss, Chatham falls to 3-6-0, 0-5-0 UCHC while the Soaring Eagles remain undefeated at 8-0-0, 5-0-0. Both teams will square off tomorrow, with the puck dropping at 2:30 pm.
SCORING SUMMARY: Elmira tallied the game's first goal in the first and tallied three more goals to take a 4-0 lead before Colhoun took a feed from first-year forward
Sydney Collins (Wake Forest, N.C./Northwood Prep) on a power play to ruin the shutout bid at 4:30.
The Soaring Eagles went on to tack on one more goal in the third.
GOALTENDING: Senior netminder
Sydney Isbell (Thunder Bay, Ont./Thunder Bay Queens) suffered the defeat, despite making 44 stops in between the pipes, including 17 in the third.
SHOTS LEADER: Senior defender
Kasandra Petersen (Faribault, Minn./Minnesota Blades) led the Chatham attack with four shots.
FACEOFFS: Colhoun won a team-high nine draws.
