Men’s Hockey Suffers 7-1 Setback at Stevenson

OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Nov. 4, 2017 – The Chatham University men's hockey team fell 7-1 at UCHC opponent Stevenson on Saturday evening.
 
RECORDS: The Cougars fall to 0-2-0, 0-2-0 UCHC while the Mustangs improve to 2-0-1, 2-0-0 UCHC.
 
WHAT'S NEXT: Chatham will remain on the road and take on non-conference foes Buffalo State and Fredonia on Nov. 10-11.
 
SCORING SUMMARY: Sophomore forward Clay Plyler (Pittsburgh, Pa./New England Wolves) tallied the lone marker for the Cougars in the first period, an unassisted goal.
 
Plyler led the team with six shots.
 
GOALTENDING: Junior Trever Ralph (Red Bank, N.J./New Jersey Titans) earned the start and made 13 saves while first-year Matt Calas (Mississauga, Ont./Ancaster Avalanche) appeared in relief and made 23 stops.

Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA is a member of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) and offers nine Division III women's sports and seven men's sports. Chatham added women's lacrosse beginning play in 2017-2018 as well as women's squash, beginning in 2018-19. Chatham has added five men's sports competing this academic year: baseball, basketball, cross country, swimming & diving, track & field. Chatham added two more men's varsity sports beginning play in 2017-2018; ice hockey and lacrosse, as well as men's squash, starting in 2018-19.
