Chatham takes down Baruch in consolation game

Box Score PITTSBURGH, Pa. – NOVEMBER 26th, 2017 – Chatham defeated Baruch 75-67 in the consolation game of the Carnegie Mellon DoubleTree Tournament.

KEY PLAYERS: Alex Schoppen earned a game high 22 points. Nasir Alexander tallied 11 points going 4-5 from the field and 2-3 from beyond the arc. Isaiah Brown earned 10 points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal. Logan Hunter finished with five rebounds and five assists. Anthony Bomar tabbed eight assists, three rebounds, and three steals.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: The Cougars came out on top in the battle against Baruch. The game saw seven lead changes and eight tied scores throughout the 40 minutes. The largest lead for Chatham came halfway through the first period when they were up by 16. Baruch would cut that lead to five heading into halftime.

WHAT'S NEXT: The Cougars host Westminster on November 29th at 8 pm before traveling to Grove City December 2nd.

Chatham will add women's lacrosse beginning play in 2017-2018. Chatham has added five men's sports competing this academic year: baseball, basketball, cross country, swimming & diving, track & field. Chatham will add two more men's varsity sports beginning play in 2017-2018; ice hockey and lacrosse.
