PITTSBURGH, PA. – Nov. 11, 2017 – The Chatham University men's hockey team earned a well-fought 2-2 overtime draw at SUNY Fredonia on Saturday night.
RECORDS: With the tie, the Cougars move to 0-3-1 on the year while the Blue Devils stand at 2-2-1.
WHAT'S NEXT: The Cougars will host Nazareth and Utica in the 2017 home-opening weekend from Nov. 17-18 at Frozen Pond Arena.
GOALTENDING: First-year goalkeeper
Matt Calas (Mississauga, Ont./Ancaster Avalanche) stood tall in net, making 59 saves for the Cougars.
SCORING SUMMARY: Chatham enjoyed the first goal of the contest as first-year defender
Johan Allingmon (Ekero, Sweden/Colorado Jr. Eagles) found the back of the net off an assist from sophomore forward
Clay Plyler (Pittsburgh, Pa./New England Wolves) at 10:48 in the first period.
Fredonia went on to score the next two goals before the Cougars knotted the contest at 2-2 when first-year forward
Chris Lutz (Curtice, Ohio/Soo Eagles) tallied a goal for the second-straight game, this time from a feed by sophomore forward
Jace Burton (Aurora, Ill./Philadelphia Jr. Flyers), with less than two minutes to play in regulation.
FACEOFFS: First-year forward
Eric Hildebrand (Robbinsville, N.J./East Coast Wizards) won a team-high 12 draws in the circle.
