Cougars Fall to Saints 2-1

Box Score PITTSBURGH, Pa. – OCTOBER 31st, 2017 – The Chatham Cougars fell to the top seeded Thomas More Saints in the semifinal match of the PAC Championship Tournament.

How it happened
  • At the half, Chatham had four shots to Thomas More's six.
  • The Cougars held off the Saints until the 66th minute.
  • Thomas More would get another goal less than ten minutes later.
  • Junior Julie Bruening (Madison, Ohio/Madison) would score at the 86th minute. This is the first goal Chatham has ever scored on Thomas More and just the fifth PAC goal against the Saints this season.
 
In the goal
  • First Year Ashley Bergman (Allison Park, Pa./Hampton) was in the net for the Cougars. She made 10 saves with two goals against.

Chatham will add women's lacrosse beginning play in 2017-2018. Chatham has added five new men's sports in the 2015-2016 academic year: baseball, basketball, cross country, swimming & diving, track & field. Chatham will add two more men's varsity sports beginning play in 2017-2018; ice hockey and lacrosse.
