GREENVILLE, PA. – Oct. 26, 2017 – The Chatham University women's volleyball team enjoyed a 3-1 (25-14, 25-27, 25-15, 25-23) road win at Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) opponent Thiel on Thursday night.
RECORDS: Chatham moves to 16-10, 7-10 PAC while the Tomcats fall to 10-16, 4-11 PAC.
WHAT'S NEXT: The Cougars host Saint Vincent on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 2 pm. Chatham will honor middle blocker
Iman Morgan (Sharon, Pa./Sharon) on Senior Day in a pre-game ceremony.
LEADING THE ATTACK: Sophomore outside hitter
Justyne Lasher (Ford City, Pa./Armstrong) tallied a match-high 20 kills (.367), to go along with 15 digs on the defensive end.
Both first-year middle blocker
Elivia Wagner (Erie, Pa./McDowell) and sophomore outside hitter
Belen Brown (Monaca, Pa./Central Valley) tallied 10 kills apiece.
Brown defended a match-high 37 digs in the victory.
DISTRIBUTION LINE: Sophomore setters Mckenzie Bates (Lancaster, Ohio/Lancaster) and
Brooke Petrillo (Derry, Pa./Derry Area) dished out 25 and 18 assists, respectively, to pace the Cougar offense.
Petrillo contributed 19 digs and a match-high four aces as well.
BACK ROW PLAY: Following Brown's 37 digs, sophomore libero
Sydney Stevens (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) tallied 22 digs.
AT THE NET: The Cougars combined for nine total blocks, as Wagner and Lasher together tallied four.
