PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Oct. 18, 2017 - The Chatham University women's volleyball team hosted Mount Aloysius and Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Westminster on Wednesday, defeating the Mounties 3-0 before falling to the Titans 3-1.
RECORDS: The Cougars are now 14-9, 5-9 PAC while the Mounties move to 11-15. Westminster improves to 21-4, 12-2 PAC.
WHAT'S NEXT: Chatham will host Grove City in PAC action on Saturday at 1 pm.
MOUNT ALOYSIUS RECAP: Chatham defeated Mount Aloysius 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-20) to start the day.
Sophomore outside hitter Justyne Lasher (Ford City, Pa./Armstrong) enjoyed 15 kills (.419) while first-year middle blocker
Elivia Wagner (Erie, Pa./McDowell) and junior middle blocker
Mckenzie Bonnett (Champaign, Ill./Centennial) both tallied five kills apiece, with Wagner hitting .417 from off the bench.
Wagner also enjoyed four total blocks at the net.
Sophomore setters
Brooke Petrillo (Derry, Pa./Derry Area) and
Mckenzie Bates (Lancaster, Ohio/Lancaster) dished out 13 and 12 assists, respectively.
Sophomore libero
Sydney Stevens (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) tallied 18 digs to pace the Cougar defense.
WESTMINSTER RECAP: Lasher tallied a game-high 19 kills (.371) and junior outside hitter
Maggie Fleiner (McKees Rocks, Pa./Montour) enjoyed 10 kills.
Bates and Petrillo combined for 49 assists while Stevens tallied 11 digs from the back row.
Bonnett notched five total blocks at the net.
