Cougars Extend Streak to Five, Shutout Hawks 2-0

Box Score MARLBOROGH, Ma – JANUARY 6^th, 2016 – The Chatham Cougars traveled to Becker College where they shutout the Hawks 2-0.

How it happened

The first goal of the game was scored at 19:14 in the second period. Senior McKenzie Haskins (Anchorage, Ala. / Team Alaska) made the shot with an assist from sophomore Kristina Block (Scarborough, Maine / North Yarmouth Academy).
Sophomore Michelle Jones (Scarborough, ONT / Barrie Sharks PWHL) would score the second goal of the night late in the third period assisted by first year Holly Ackerman (East Rockaway, N.Y. / Brewster Academy) and sophomore Jillian Rowland (St. Louis, Mo. / Chicago Fury).
Chatham outshot Becker 32-23.
Junior Marissa Janiga (East Aurora, N.Y. / Buffalo Stars) led the Cougars in shots with seven.
Block and Rowland would each chip in five shots.
Chatham is on a five game winning streak.

In the goal

Junior goaltender Sydney Isbell (Thunder Bay, ONT / Thunder Bay Queens) was in the goal again for the Cougars. She made 23 saves to earn the shutout.
