Chatham Falls to Buffalo State 9-3

Box Score PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – JANUARY 27^TH, 2017 – The Chatham Cougars fell to the Buffalo State Bengals 9-3.

How it happened

The Bengals would be the first on the board with two goals in the first period.
Michelle Jones would score her first goal of the evening at 13:38 assisted by Cassidy Calhoun and Kaitlyn Perrins.
In the second period, the Cougars would outscore Buffalo State 2-1.
Kristina Block would score at 17:13 on a power play assisted by Lyndsey Gallaway and Kaitlyn Perrins.
Jones would get her second goal at 19:12 with the assist from Cassidy Calhoun and Kaitlyn Perrins.
Heading into the final period Chatham was down one.
Buffalo State would dominate the third period scoring five unanswered goals to end the game.
Kasandra Petersen and Marissa Janiga led the Cougars in shots with six apiece.
Jillian Rowland would add five shots.
Erika Martin would win 15 faceoffs.

In the goal

Sydney Isbell would start for the Cougars and play a total of 43:30 minutes before getting pulled in the final period. Isbell had 23 saves.
Tara Riley would total nine saves in 16:30 minutes of action.
