Cougars falter against Titans

Box Score PITTSBURGH, Pa. – JANUARY 25th, 2017 – The Chatham Cougars were defeated by the Westminster Titans 80-64.    
 
The Basics
  • Records: Chatham (8-10, 4-7 PAC) Westminster (11-7, 7-4 PAC)
  • Location: Athletic and Fitness Center at Chatham University.
 
Key Players
  • Sophomore Josh Randall (Mckees Rock, Pa./Montour) would lead the Cougars in scoring once again, finishing with 17 points. Randall would add five rebounds and three steals.
  • Junior Logan Hunter (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield Area) recorded 12 points and five rebounds.
  • Sophomore Isaiah Brown (Scott, Ark./North Pulaski) chipped in 11 points and four rebounds.
  • First Year William Tate (Houston, Texas/Stratford) would dominate under the basket recording 12 rebounds for a career high. Tate added four points and three steals.
  • Sophomore Thomas Carpenter (Santa Margarita, Calif./Atascadero) would earn his first points as a Cougar going 3-4 at the free throw line.
 
Inside the numbers
  • Chatham was outscored in the first half 37-21 but would match Westminster 43-43 in the final twenty minutes.
  • The Cougars would earn 16 points off of 20 forced Titan turnovers.
  • The bench would add 34 points for the team.

Chatham will add two more men's varsity sports beginning play in 2017-2018; ice hockey and lacrosse.
