Chatham falls to SUNY Potsdam 3-2

Box Score PITTSBURGH, Pa – January 20th, 2017 – In their first home game in more than a month, the Chatham Cougars lost a hard-fought battle to the SUNY Potsdam Bears 3-2.

How it happened

Senior Jenny Jones (Kernersville, NC/Anaheim Lady Ducks) opened the scoring with an unassisted goal with 6:03 left in the first period.
Junior Marissa Janiga (East Aurora, NY/Buffalo Stars) netted an unassisted goal in the second period.
Potsdam tallied three goals in the second period which was enough for the victory.

In the goal

Junior goalie Sydney Isbell (Thunder Bay, ONT/Thunder Bay Queens) logged 59:15 in net, stopping 28 of 31 Bear shots.

The Cougars round out the two game set against the Bears tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 at the Alpha Ice Complex.
