Chatham Falls to Bethany 83-78

Box Score BETHANY, W.Va. – JANUARY 18th, 2016 – The Chatham Cougars fell to the Bethany Bison this evening 83-78.  
 
The Basics
  • Records: Chatham (9-6 overall, 4-5 PAC) Bethany (8-8 overall, 6-3 PAC)
  • Location: Hummel Fieldhouse at Bethany College.
 
Key Players
  • Sophomore Katelyn Sieg (Pittsburgh, Pa./Serra Catholic) led Chatham in scoring with 18 points. Sieg added nine rebounds, three steals and two assists.  
  • Senior Jesse Hinkle (Jefferson Hills, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) finished the game with 16 points and nine rebounds. Hinkle went 7-9 from the field and 2-2 from the free throw line.
  • Junior Megan Sieg (Pittsburgh, Pa./Serra Catholic) tabbed 13 points.
  • Sophomore Ashley McClain (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) finished with 11 points.
  • First Year Sierra Ungerman (North Hills, Pa./North Hills) scored a career high ten points with eight rebounds. Ungerman went 6-6 from the free throw line.  
 
Inside the numbers
  • The matchup tonight was back and forth seeing 12 lead changes and three tied scores.
  • The Cougars would earn 18 points off of second chance points and 12 points from the bench.
  • Chatham outrebounded Bethany 40-37 and would earn nine points off of seven Bison turnovers.

Chatham will add two more men's varsity sports beginning play in 2017-2018; ice hockey and lacrosse.
