How it happened

Sophomore Anne Radzanowski (Pittsburgh, Pa./Chartiers Valley HS) scored the game winning goal late in the second half. Junior Megan Sieg (Pittsburgh, Pa./Serra Catholic HS) dribbled past the goalie and crossed it from the left of the box to the middle for the goal by Radzanowski.
The Cougars outshot the Barons 21-11.
Sophomore Julie Bruening (Madison, Ohio/Madison HS) led the team in shots with six, half of those on frame.
Sieg finished with four shots.
First Year Emily Nolan (Imperial, Pa./West Allegheny HS) took three shots.

In the goal

First Year Elayna Burdelski (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel) played the entire 90 minutes in goal for the Cougars. She recorded seven saves and allowed zero goals.

Coach's Comments

Head Coach Betsy Warren said "It was a great team effort. I was really proud of how we came out in the second half and stepped up our game and dominated for the final 45 minutes."
